3:10 PM BRAINBREAKS, WELLNESS SNACKING AND THE POWERFUL PAUSE: USING MICRO-WELLNESS PRACTICES TO SUPPORT WELL-BEING AND PERFORMANCE

Healthcare can be fast-paced and complex. On a daily basis we are exposed to vast amounts of information and psychological demands. That is why it is important for us to do restorative practices such as 'powerful pause', 'brainbreaks' and 'wellness snacking.'

These brief practices can support our well-being and our work performance. This brief session will provide participants with opportunities to taste test several micro-wellness practices, including a chocolate eating meditation, relaxation, mindfulness, kindness and gratitude.

4:00 PM Leadership Workshop: Exploring a heartfelt kindness practice that can support connection, positivity, gratitude and self-compassion

Working in healthcare can be very demanding on a number of levels. But one of the most restorative and inspiring practices that we can do is to experience the positivity and meaning of our work. A great way to do this is to cultivate or design micro-moments of connection into our day, and to purposefully 'see good, feel good, and do good.'

During this session we will explore a lovely kindness practice that not only gives rise to positivity but also meaning. Participants will walk out of the session with a practical resource that can support kindness and well-being. This session will be helpful for everyone, including leaders who are interested small acts of kindness that can make a difference in the teams they lead.
