Andrew Blanch

Clinical Director eHealth Queensland

Dr Andrew Blanch is a Clinical Director within the Office of the Chief Clinical Information Officer at eHealth Queensland whilst continuing to practice in his specialty of Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Queensland Children's Hospital. Andrew is the chair of the state-wide Digital Health Clinical Advisory Group and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Digital Health and a Digital Health Advisor with the Australian Digital Health Agency and has particular interests in Digital Safety and Quality and the role of the clinical voice in digital health. Prior to being appointed to his current role Andrew has had held multiple leadership roles, including being the Chief Medical Information Officer and the Chief of Critical Care for Children's Health Queensland (CHQ). Within the Clinical Informatics arena he has been the medical lead for CHQs ieMR roll out and has also provided paediatric leadership at a State eHealth and ieMR program level, supporting the safe and effective implementation of integrated digital systems across Queensland.
